headlights flicker

is it normal for the xenons to flicker when driving over bumps? I just noticed this today. It happens only on the really rough bumps.

I don't think they flicker, I think they try to adjust which looks like a flicker unless you have something loose.

I second the looseness get a 5mm socket and take the mushroom off the side panel where the headlight is. make sure the light is completely locked in. Unlock it with one click counter clockwise. pull it out... put it back in and turn the **** one noisey click clockwise Youll know when its lock in place. Happened to me also. GL

I had the same symptoms: both lights would flicker if I hit a good bump. It was noticeable enough that I was afraid they were going to flicker out and not come back on. I took it in under warranty so I don't know exactly how they fixed it but I believe there was an electrical connector that came loose. I seem to recall the connector was not in the headlight assemblies but somewhere else. I'll try to find the invoice for that one.

thank you for the suggestions. The lights also flicker if I slam on the brakes.. so it definitely seems like something is loose. I'm going to check the bulbs tomorrow.

tsky: if you can find that invoice.. thatd be really helpful.. itll save me a trip to the dealer if it turns out the bulbs are not the problem.
