Anyone in ohio with a lightweight flywheel?

Well since my motor is out I am thinking I should do a clutch and LWFW. I am worried about the noise and would love to hear it in person. Anyon in ohio able to let me listen to their car?

I'm not in Ohio, but really the noise is no big deal...and I am in a cab. With clutch disengaged in neutral and the AC on is the loadest, I just crank the tunes. The performance is well worth it IMHO.

How about "OHIO GT2" He has the Protomotive GT2 and the clutch
cannot be stock. He is in Cleveland area.

Very smart to listen to it before you do it. I personally don't like it at all. The power delivery is a bit faster, but under normal driving very anoying.

Would slighly thicker gear oil help dampen it? I know someone had a custom Carbon fiber driveshaft made and claimed it reduced the sound drastically.

Wow that's weird, what makes it annoying? Problem is everyone has a different setup and opinions vary based on what people have/are use to and can tolerate.. RUF installed a lwfw and clutch on my car, the bite and free almost na rev is amazing, absolutely 0 chatter and compromised driveability either. Go for it, just do your hw on a good setup

The noise is not an issue to me at all. You will have to learn not to bleep your throttle at the light as after one or two times the idle will fall off and the engine will die. The other issue I discovered was backing up a incline or backing into a street parking space required more rev's and was a little more difficult.

unless you are driving most of your miles on the track, it's not worth it.

prefer the stock weight it has the right amount of inertia for street driving. driving around in a lwf in stop and go traffic is no fun. have fun using one if you live in a steep hilly area with alot of stop and go.

higher clamping force and stock weight is the best all around if you drive mainly on the street.

What I meant was, the noise at stoplights and every take off in heavy traffic. If your car is not a DailyD and you track it, it's all good. But like ILLM3 said : It's probably my set up. Anyways, I'll try a different set up in the summer.

I thought it's the pressure plate that causes the noise? not the fw. no?

Well gentlemen (I use that term loosely) JB (Rennlist) ask me to post this video for him.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xa_hY7W4FDE

I may just do the clutch. The sounds not bad, but it's not quiet. Was this with the AC on? I wish there was some in between setup.. I love quicker revs. I just don't want anymore noise.

I for one, have decided that the lightweight flywheel is not necessary or
helpful in my Porsche experience. I tried it and didnt like anything about it.
