2002 TT Xenon Headlights Don't Work

My xenon headlights just won't come on at all. I am running the regular headlights but I was spoiled with the xenon. Any tips to fix at home?

If both Xenon's failed at the same time, it might just be something simple like the headlight fuse!

qft. hids are supposed to last the life of the car with a name brand bulb/ballast system (certainly including oem), for both to go out at once is unheard of.

Unhappy Xenon Headlights

Is there a separate fuse for the xenon headlights only? All of the other lights in the assembly function fine.

Probably one of two things. You have bad bulbs, or the unit that feeds power to the xenon bulbs are faulty.

I would say a fuse since it seems like they both cut off at the same time.

Wierd thing, last night driving home I flicked on my high beams and all of a sudden the xenon's came on. Any ideas where to check? Switch? Looking for a DIY fix.

Did the xenons stay on after you flicked the high beams? Maybe you have a faulty light switch....?

I had a similar issue -- intermittant inoperative headlights, which got progressively worse. It turned about to be a faulty swicth which, according to Speed Gallery, is not an unusal occurrance. Its a simple and relatively inexpensive fix.

Call Speed Gallery -- they are familiar with the issue. SG is a board sponsor -- click on their link and ask for Dan or Sam -------->

A faulty ignition switch can also cause this problem.
