Wicked/forum Criticisms
Some of the members in this forum seem to have issues with the (Wicked salvage cars).
If you bought one and had problems you can post a thread about it.
If you dont like the company for any reason thats your opinion, and you dont have to buy anything from them.
I'm a member in this forum and I dont like to have my car criticized. If I post a question and you don't have an answer I would prefer you keep your negative comments to yourself.
I bought the car 3 years ago cause I did not have $85-90K to buy a clean title 2002 996TT plus the money for the upgrades.
From day one that the trasporter left the car in my yard,i ordered an upsolute ecu and an Evo filter,so i took off my ecu and send it to Upsolute.
2 days later the ecu came and I installed it on the car with the Evo filter and the CEL -PSM Light came on.
i asked the forum for first time what the problem was and after few weeks reading different threads found out it was the Evo filter (at least on my car).
As soon i took of the filter and installed a BMC on the factory box I had no problems at all and no lights after that.
Other than that the car is awesome,i did some other upgrades and it is up to 600hp at the dyno .
As you all know, there are many cars on this forum that are newer models and the same year with mine with (CLEAN TITLES)that have and have had many problems and some of these the CEL/PSM Lights.
I joined this forum to be able to receive and give advise and communicate with others who have the same love for these cars that I have. I would appreciate that we return this forum to what it was meant to be . We are in this to help each other regardless of how much money we have. Thank you for your time.

I have to agree with billy on this one. I realize that the wicked cars are not for everyone... but the company clearly discloses the fact that their cars are salvage titled...they are not hiding anything. they are catering to a specific market.. and since they are still in business, obviously there are people that want their cars. I dont see anything wrong with that.
If you're happy who gives a ciht? I would buy a salvaged title car to turn into a track warrior in a heartbeat. Depending on the damage it very well may just be a 'title' thing, and no real physical structural issues.
Seems fair, and good post.
But, and I don't know if you've noticed this or not, Wicked cars are not the only ones that get hammered on here. Heaven forbid you owned a Wicked Porsche AND a Z06. You might never come back . . .

Wicked takes what are usually salvage cars, womps them up, sometimes with non-matching pieces and kits from various styles of cars, and at times tries for some pretty high prices for them. Makes them an easy target for the purists on the board. But doesn't mean that some of the rest of us don't womp up some perfectly good cars ourselves from time to time.
And it doesn't mean that you don't have a great car, that they don't do good work, or that you didn't get exactly what you wanted at a fair price. It just means that you should expect a little of this, and some thicker skin might not hurt either. If you love your car, who cares what a bunch of internet jackasses think anyway!

I only worry about people who buy a 80+k salvage car and try to resell it. Banks wont gives loans against a salvage title.

Billy,
I don't think anybody has said anything directly about your particular car.
Wicked however, has some cars for sale what that are atrocious IMO and an insult to me as a Porsche enthusiast.
Take this car for example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...spagenameZWDVW
Salvage title 04 996TT with an ugly 997TT conversion.
$179k? Are they nuts?
This is their description of the car:
"((( 2008 Porsche 997 Twin Turbo GTR-700 Wicked-7 Mega WideBody Cabriolet ))) "
When indeed it is an 04 Turbo cab.
It has Evo mods on it but they call them wicked (even though you can tell they are Evo)
I just don't care for them and will contuniue to have the same opinion.
By the way, If I saw your car advertised, I would not say anything negative about it as it looks like it was tastefully done. Its the over the top conversions that I personally do not like.

They are crazy with their asking prices on some of these cars.

Rock On Billy!
There can at times be a bit of a clicky crowd on this board who love to talk more than saying something intelligent. AS long as you know what your buying and it represents good value, all the power to you!
