Protomotive monsters

It seems like Protomotive is producing some very fast cars.
The trap speeds approaching 145 and such is a great accomplishment.
While reading all these builds, im wondering why a 1000whp+ TT cant be made. I think the next build from Proto is a 3.8 with heads and gt35rs and such. Going all out like this, is it that hard to break the 1000whp mark and 150+ trap speed? If your running out of fuel, cant custom injectors be made?
Im just a car nut thats curious. Thanks.

FYI...Mark's car makes more HP than Alexander's does....and I do as well up to 1.4 BAR.

Alex makes 862 crank HP @ 1.32 BAR, and I make 930 crank HP at 1.3 BAR....but my turbos are maxed out at around 967 crank HP at 1.4 BAR. Mark makes more HP than both Alex and I do....but I'm pretty sure I make more torque than both Mark and Alex do (I make app. 890 crank TQ @ 1.4 BAR).

As far as 1,000+ rwhp...it'll happen soon enough. Could be Mark's, could be Peter's, could be Chad's, could even be mine. It comes down to who wants to push it to that level.

IRT the 150 mph trap speed...1,000 rwhp isn't needed for that.

I thought Alexandeer stated his car was over 1000 HP could this have been with NOS.

Without NOS, at 1.5 BAR, he's close at the crank (not the wheels). But Mark still makes more power than Alex does.

Scott, do you think fuel injector is the biggest issue? Im thinking the gt35rs can support 1000+.

I didnt think 150+ was possible with a street weight(3500lbs give or take a few) car.

Thanks for the info and congrats on your car. I have made it a point to keep up with these Protomotive builds.

Yes, GT35Rs can support 1,000 rwhp, or very close to it. The injectors are the limiting factor on Mark's car at this time.

150+ is absolutely possible at street weights. It's not just peak HP that will do it, though. It's torque, area under the curve, boost onset, etc...

Rob, my redline is 7,800 rpm.

Good night, guys.

When people talk about the injectors are the problem, what exactly does this mean. I know what an Injector is, but is the injector itself different then lets say a 1200cc injector or a 160lb Injector like you'd use on any other high HP car. Could the injector harness be that much different and there is not an adapter. Or is it like the fuel rails being to small and not being able to flow the right amount of fuel it needs?

I'm with Geetee, a 1000whp should be easy to obtain with the right combo of turbo. I think people like Markski will see it soon enough and get his 9sec slip to show the P Cars mean some buisness
