Will anyone ever post a 9 second 1/4?
Markski, I am bit disappointed in you. Why try to take anything away from EVOMS' impressive accomplishment? You are better than that. FWIW, I have repeatedly complimented your impressive times (Scott's as well).
Well said Kevin!!!

Everybody knows that you have one of the baddest 996TTs ever built, don't discredit yourself by making negative statements

I can not compete with anyone's shop car - period. I actually looked up to that 10.37 evoms run and not down on it. So when we ran low 10s I was very happy. You see.. to me it was huge accomplishment because I and Bobby( not protomotive) ran faster then the fastest Tuner car. To me that was an accomplishment... not hatred. It took an extra $15K of my own money to run that 10.03 time. That is why it was special to me. I never bosted nor bragged about it. I didnt have a sig. stating "worlds fastest 1/4 996TT". ( no harm intended Joe). I think my humble approach speaks for itself.
Actually, I am going to visit Evoms next month....
Congrats to Evoms again,
markski

I simply do not have the means to break things- and they break.... so when We ran the 10.03 it was a huge perosnal accomplishment becasue it took thousands of dollars to just do that and my car ran faster then the faster Tuner car at the time... that was an accomplishment not hatred. So now the bar is raised again by a tuner. I will give it one more shot hoping my tranny/axle does not explode...
...of all the people on this thread, I am probably one of few that knows what it takes to run these crazy times.... Unfortunatley 99% of us do not want to submit our cars to such abuse.
Congrats to Evoms.

I thought Todd and Evoms had been pretty quiet lately. In fact I was getting a little dissapointed with all the wicked Proto cars being built lately. Not hating just love the friendly competition (plus I own an Evoms car)! I personally thought Mark or Scott would have the first 9 second car and then bam out of nowhere Evoms gets it done!
Now Mark, Scott and even Craig let's have not just one but four tt's in the 9's!
Get er done!

Before this "shop car" thing gets too out of hand, I moved to AZ about a year and a half ago. Prior to them moving locations (in Dec), this so called "shop car" was sitting outside under a car cover without a motor. (the whole time= 9 months) It sat the same way (now indoors) for possibly 5 out of the 6 months in 2007. They have not put nearly as much time in their "shop car" in 3 years as some other tuners "customer cars" have had put into them in the last 2 months. Just a little food for thought.

Playing the devils advocate
and not intended at all to take anything away from such of Great accomplishment !!!!
BUT to be able to claim that 9 sec pass (or any other pass for a matter of fact) should you have 2 runs back to back on the same day to be able to "Certify" that pass ? and a 3er pass to claim all the glory ?
Im just asking
