Will I regret selling the M?

and im not comparing car terms, just interiors - 911 996 is superior in just about everyway except interior in my eyes, the 997 fixed that problem - i acutally love the 997 interior, its very very nice - but again i think the 996 interior is one of the worst in an import car...period
TT > M3 in every respect. However every ex M3 owner I speak to has a soft spot for that car (including me). There is something very special about the E46 M3... I can't wait to try the new V8. Maybe a V8 M3 as the daily and the TT in the garage?
Bottom line is that it's very hard to beat the M3s daily driver / warranty / free maintenance / track car / back seats / price combo...
I hear you on the door trim. Every summer when it gets over 100 degress the damn glue fails... there could be a bigger a much achile's heel though...

If you think this (with modifications like carbon fiber shifter/ebrake and painted rear center console which are not included for $125K)

Looks better than this

you must be the crazy one Greg.
At the end of the day, if you can get past what I would call taking a step back on the interior, a used 996tt is a helluva car and even moreso for what they are selling for these days. Performance and fun factor is considerably better in the Pcar.

...
My M....damn I miss her...

and now this:

much more modding to come....it has just started....
I think it is hard to compare the two, they are in two different categories but I do love the move to the 996TT....simply AMAZING....

the porsche 996TT interior i had and the 996 C2 interior i have are pale in comparison and just dull and boring, with poor plastics and fit and finish, i have no idea how one can say the opposite, the biggest problem i had when looking for the the 996TT i had was the interior, the 997 is a VAST improvment and a gorgeous example and execution of an interior, the 996 is a toyota designed poor excuse for an interior...

Tap on the dashboard of the Pcar and then do the same test on the M3. Hell, my '01 M3 had nicer and more modern interior appointments than my '03 996tt. I'm not saying the 996tt interior is junk because it isn't and it does feel rock solidly assembled. I'm saying it should be a helluva lot better for $125K. The 997tt interior looks and feels like it should for the price tag that comes with it which is that much higher than the sticker on the 996tt brand new.

I had an M3 just before I bought the TT. two different cars... no comparison.
did I regret that I sold my M3... not a chance.
The M3 was underpowered for me. I wish that thing was turbocharged.
