Will I regret selling the M?

guys...I know that lots of guys are making the step up to a p car after their M and many haven't looked back. I just want to get an idea from any previous M owners on what they think. Don't get me wrong..I love my M3 and still get lots of compliments but I think its time for a change. I am getting bored with the car and feel that the 996 is the next best step!

any input would be great!!

Although I never personally owned an M (I test drove 3 before buying my TT), I can't imagine you would be unhappy moving to a 996 TT. It should be a nicer and faster car all the way around...and if it's not (depending on what you've done to your M), you can mod the hell out of it until it is...

As far as the overall feel, and M car is hard to beat.

For everything else the Porsche is better.

996TT> M3

You will not regret it at all. The TT is a better car out the box and once it is modded then it will totally eclipse the M3 you have in every way. As Nike says... JUST DO IT!

Good luck with your search....

I had 3 M3's and 5 996TT's. The M3 is a great and fabulous car, however, the 996tt, especially with Stage II or higher is way more fun.

The only issue is the somewhat cheap interior and crappy stereo, however both those issues can be fixed.

I had an '01 M3 and now have an '03 996tt (for sale BTW). There are things about both cars that I adore. If its a daily driver, I think the M is hard to beat (although from the pics I have seen so far, I'm not feeling the looks of new M3 to be released later this year).

I could very well see myself back in an M car (E46) at some time in the near future.

My E36 M3 is very lonely lately. So's my 850 CSi.
