If u do not believe me I am sure I can get u in contact with Bobby( who is a car dealer) and sells performance cars for fun on a side.... not to mention has 5 personal 996/993 Turbos himself... and happens to have two 9 second P cars. He has been an astute street drag racer for 12 years...
He also knows the Supra owner as well... Nor did he believe Bobby that he got spanked by a car that has stock internals... with a lot less HP. SO he went on a dyno to prove it.
My point was not to bring down the Supra... this is not a fabricated story nor are we talking about kids... these are grown up men that know what they are doing.

Do you have this year's TX2007 DVD? If not, borrow it from someone. There's a video of Jamie C's 650 rwhp GT2 handing Kareem O's 1,050 rwhp Supra a serious ***-whopping. Kareem's car is the camera car. Sure..it was a from a 40 mph roll, but it's an ***-whooping regardless.

Wow... that Supra hit the revlimiter like 5 times in first. Race again without the f-up and those cars would be dead even until high speeds

 

So lets see the plots.

I don't care what cars are involved. A 300 wheel horsepower handicap will not result in anything like that. Either one car is making significantly more power than was claimed, one is making significantly less, or there's some driver idiocy of legendary levels going on.

 

He hit the rev-limiter because he was spinning his tires. But a win is a win.

Simba - The cars dynoed on the same dyno as well. Jamie made 650, and Kareem made 1,050 without NOS. Took 1st place in the street class IIRC. Both dyno runs are on the DVD as well.

 

I don't see what the debate/bickering is about, the Supra loss, end of story. It does not matter if the guy is only capable of driving a Civic or if he had issues with the car, if there was an issue he should not have lined it up.

I saw the video and Jamie (see how gender nuetral I am now ) clearly got the jump. Supras have got to be in their powerband also.

He runs it all the time on the street. I ran him a couple times, he walked away from me starting around 110. It would take a car at Mark or Scott's level to give him a good run if he were on kill mode.

 

it appeared I got the jump because his set-up is laggy at 40 mph. Kareem knew and I knew it's a tough spot for him to start with a 3L. And I didn't dyno 700 in Tx - I ran the car that night making about 650.
Kareem would have pulled me hard if I stayed in it to the top of 5th. Can't you ever post something even remotely accurate?
