I JUST changed the plugs yesterday in an attempt to solve the problem. Unfortunately, the problem is still there.

This morning, I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it. It boosted great for one run then went into limp mode right after.

Then after posting this message at work, I was driving home from work, and it was boosting 0.9-1.0 bar like it was totally normal again. I didn't reset the car or anything.

From my searches, it sounds like the coil pack is going south. Only question is, why wouldn't a failing coil pack throw a CEL?

Let's see...I think I saw somewhere...perhaps in this thread...where it was recommended you get the friggin codes read...so we can stop guessing...sounds like a good idea.

Yeah, I think wross996TT wrote that. I followed his advice and made the first appointment I could. The only problem is my dealer is acting like they've never seen this before so I want to have some suggestions for them if they come back with a "everything checks out ok". I already brought it there once and they said the IC hose came off and they reattached it and sent me on my way. I just don't want to go back to the dealer again after this next visit.

Get a code reader and do it yourself...did the stealer actually read the codes? They could have flashed it back to stock on you.

They didn't bother reading the codes last time I bet. They saw a loose IC hose so they put that back on and took it for a quick drive (and it drove fine) and probably figured that was the end of it.

I knew something was up because the boost went to 0.4 but came back to normal the next morning and then went back down. A loose hose would've caused boost to drop permanently.

I know they didn't flash it back to stock because right now it's boosting perfect (at least it was when I drove home).

I'll let the dealer do it since it's under warranty. I just want to make sure I "push" them in the right directions so they don't just brush me off and send me "happily" on my way only for me to discover the problem is still there (again).

Thanks to everyone for their help. I'll post my results if/when I get this resolved.

The dealer said they found a leaky wastegate and have ordered a new one.

Do they need to adjust the new wastegate and "turn the screws tighter" on the wastegate to accomidate the GIAC chip?

Or are they non-adjustable items?

Thanks,
KJ

they are adjustable to some degree but if they are replacing a stock WG then they will do a procedure to set up the spring correctly.... usually via a contraption that pressurises the system. With that said, they will set up the WGs to Posche specs...

After taking 3 days to get a replacement Wastegate in (parts were "delayed"), the tech at the dealer found that the Pipe that holds one of the diverter valves was cracked. What's the name of that pipe?

Damn, I really want my car back for the long weekend in Canada, but if the parts are delayed again, I'm screwed!

Yup, my dealer is Pfaff and lucky for me, the parts came through in time for the long weekend, and the car is PERFECT now.

I had a feeling there was a leak for some time now (I heard a little more whoosh from the DV's than I originally did), but the boost always seemed to hit 1.0 or so under full load in 6th so I thought it was ok.

After everything got re-checked, they found a blown wastegate (which was making a hissing sound under boost), and a cracked F-Pipe where the DV mounts to. After fixing that up, my car's been boosting a steady 1.1 under full load (which was better than before as I would only get blips to 1.1 before).

Anyway, I'm a VERY happy camper and have fallen in love with my car all over again!!! I just spent the weekend driving it like I stole it, and it felt GOOOOODDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHA

Thanks to everyone for their help!
