New to Forum and need help (NYC)

My first post after lurking for a bit and while I may be new to the forum, the car is not. I bought Steve's (Sporster78's) 996 RUF (thanks again Steve!).

After having to wait all day for the transporter and dealing with over an hour of Lincoln tunnel traffic (at 9pm), I finally got to see her in person (Speechless). To make a long story short, half way home I was surprised with a battery generator fault and was able to make it back into the city. A quick battery charge from AAA and I was able to make it home and PUSH it into a spot in the garage .

Now the question is for the city guys:

Who do you recommend for Service? The closest shops I know are Manahattan motorcars or Formula Motorsports in LIC. Recommendations Please!!

Brett

Gorgeous car man! Best of luck with it. We get together almost every Sunday morning in NJ so if you wanna join us go to scheduled events and click on Tristate weekly meet and you can follow up on whats going on. Some of the guys also get together at Starbucks in Edgewater on Thursday nights.

Looks sweet! I need a front lip!
Had some work done a Manhattan Motorsports - if you go, Keith the service advisor is great to work with. FYI, manhattan prices are quite a bit more than if you go outside of manhattan. I think my cousin found that a oil change was 200 more beans here in Gotham!

I take mine to Fairfield County Motorsport. But then I live in NY and work in...er...Fairfield County. Drew and crew do great work, though, and know their way around a TT.

Thanks guys! Had to make a quick decision yesterday in the hope of having the car for the weekend. The flatbed dropped her off at Formula yesterday afternoon.

Totally agree Steve but I doubt they care considering your tire story and what they lost because of it

I look forward to meeting up with my Porsche cousins and fellow enthusiasts soon!

Do you guys use a front plate or risk the ticket? Anyone have the tow hook plate mount?
