Its a BOY!!!!
Congrats. Once you have children, everything else becomes secondary.
If you have dogs, they will soon begin to be neglected. That's what my best friend told me, and I laughed it off. My Doberman now protects my sister at her house. I loved her too much to see her not get any attention after two kids. The Min Pin is now the kid's dog.
The drive home will be the slowest, most cautious drive of your life.
Wooow. How did my post precede yours?

Sean, this is wonderful news! Blessings to you and your whole family. I think having a child at our age is really great...old enough to really enjoy it and young enough to have grandchildren.
ps- what is up with this thread??? My post is at the beginning???

Thanks everyone. Ari, not sure why your post is at the top...in regards to my dog, he is 10 and has been having some health issues....I was contemplating getting another (I do about a years worth of planning and research before getting a new dog...I used to breed) but I think I will wait until Matthew is at least 2.
Chris, I have installed the car seat you suggested (the one made especially for Porsches').
However, my wife and her family want to put in another one with a base. I think the Porsche seat is fine, but in the interest of family harmony I think I will let them have their way.
Man, my life is crazy right now. In addition to the family addition, I am teaching a summer course, sold one of my houses, had to evict a tenant from another who then thrashed it.... the closing, eviction, and birth all happened w/in a two day period.

There are pros and cons, but I worried that, say 20 years from now, some Jessica Alba look alike would be going down on him and maybe have second thoughts if I didn't

Wifey gave birth yesterday to my son Matthew. She wasn't due for another 2 weeks, but her fluid levels were dropping for some reason and the doctor didn't want to take any chances. Therefore he induced here.
Matthew was a healthy 6 lbs and 14 ounces. Had he been in the womb for 2 more weeks he would have been about 7 lbs 8 ounces. His APGARS were 8 and 9. Mommy is also doing well.
Daddy can't wait to put him in the Cayenne and the Porsche/Britax baby seat!
I know I should post in the "other" section, but everyone I know posts in here.
