Just thought I should throw this out there for those who were wondering why some of the times were so different between the same cars....it may have alot to do with the test facility. A car being tested on an oval track such as Nardo may have slightly longer times because of some time being lost to getting into the high speed banking....whereas a test facility with a 2-3 mile straight would just involve keeping the car straight (much more efficient). Obviously weather and track prep make a huge difference as well. Just a thought...

how did the 9ff TT Carrera GT do 0-300 in claimed ~ 14 seconds? or was it decidedly a modified 9ff 996 Turbo? i think someone from Europe posted that video. either way, the implications of that kind of acceleration are staggering. in my opinion, that kind of acceleration requires more than the projected 1000hp the car has. that time is insane, almost unbelievable! but the video is awesome. would love to hear more info about it, as i'm sure others would as well.

My 0-300 kph was 27 seconds flat at the Texas Mile.

This was with a very soft launch (4+ seconds to 100 kph), but my 200-300 was 15 seconds, I believe.

About like a RUF RT12 and and ENZO, which is pretty good company to be in...

Pretty solid times! The most I have run my car up to is 153mph (ran 16.435 and 16.839 to 150mph). However, my three best times to 200kmh are 11.715, 11.727 and 11.820 (all launching with traction control on which kills the times down low up to 60mph). I would have thought that your car would have run well under 12, possibly under 11 (maybe the soft launch?). Do you have any times to 150mph? Just trying to gauge how fast I could do 0-300kmh until I can find a facility long enough to safely stretch its legs.

Let's get real here:

"Deaf stunt woman Kitty O'Neill covered a standing start 1/4 mile in 1977 in 3.235 seconds at 412 mph" (about 663 km/h?). - see the movie "Silent Victory".

Why do you think that? More weight to get moving at a lower speed? 200-300 is more about aerodynamics at some point, no?

I can't believe the Mclaren F1 is in such rarified air, talk about a car that was ahead of its time!
