IPD plenum and throttle body
Buddy,
I like that!
Oak, we had (4) run groups at Road America and about 40 cars in
each run group. I was in the fastest run group (and probably close to
the slowest in the group). I was on street tires and my straightaway speeds on the two long striaghts did not indicate any kind of significant loss
of power over the course of a 20-25 minute session going ***** out.

mk, thanks how do you think it would hold up out west, desert condition +95 degree plus +140 asphalt. even when almost stock I could feel heat soak robbing power. all day track sessions long sessions as long as you like.
just wondering how a mod at your extreme would handle this. by your claims your mods will withstand better than stock. would you say so?

Oak,
I ran 1.1 bar all weekend with monstrous intercoolers and A/F ratios in the
high 11's.
I am not even close to an expert, but before, with my PSI 480 kit ran 1.0 bar
and had the undersize (for serious track work) stock intercoolers.
I would like to know the facts also to see what types of stresses are caused by this type of system (and so much torque running thru it).
I do remember hot days at brainerd in my 993TT (which really suffer heat
soak) and power was severely robbed within a 20 minute session (10 laps).
I often do not run the whole session (at my home track of Brainerd), I
quit when I am ahead. I am not the guy out on the track on the last lap
of the last session, going 10/10ths.
Cheers, good discussion
and I do remember that the GT700 kit did not include intercoolers at one time
and THIS would not be a good idea. I do not know if they are now part of
the $28K kit??

Oak,
You were arguing pretty strongly a while back that stock IC's were not susceptible to heat soak, right?
I ask because we mean old men need to stick together, and I am a big fan of upgraded IC's.

EVOMS GT700 kit does not include the I/C or throttle body in the $28K
price tag. $ 33,245 includes larger throttle body and Intercoolers.
Wow that must be interesting with the stock intercoolers !!!
