Seats

Who has the GT3 seats in there 996TT? I hate the seats and I keep hearing that the GT3 seats are better as well as alot lighter.

Where can I buy the GT3 seats and what are your opinions and thoughts, any other lighter than stock options

Significantly lighter than my oem sport seats and much more supportive. Might be a bit thinly padded for a long trip though.

Suncoast has had them for about 2750 shipped, best new price I've seen. I dont like the seat though as they arent for broad shouldered men. May get them anyways though because I dont want to buy a race pair only and have to switch back and forth.

They are comfortable for me my wife and I. She has ridden in them for 5 hours at a time several times without complaining. It depends how tall/wide you are. If you are more than a 34" waist or taller than 6'2" you may have a few issues getting in and out of there and you may not be able to fit with a helmet on.

I have a set of sparco milano I am selling (essentially new) which I had in my 996tt coupe. much more comfortable and allow access to the rear seats (plus have lumbar adjustment). I can't use them because they won't fit in the cab I bought because the inside of the rear of a cab is narrower than the coupe. pm me if interested. I can send pics.

Try looking at what Recaro and Sparco have to offer. At near $2800 you can get a set of pretty nice competition seats. Honestly try and sit in a couple (GT3, Recaro, Sparco, etc...), and then decide. It's pretty important that your seat fits well, as i'm sure you already know. Great luck!

I have them and like them a lot. I am 6'3" and pretty broad in the shoulders and the fit well, are comfortable for medium trips and even long ones if you get out and stretch once in awhile. Very supportive. And LIGHT.
