as the title says looking at some 2nd hand GT2 wheels for my 2002 TT - will they go straight on? the rears are 12 + 45 and the fronts are 8.5 + 40.

just stick with 315's or smaller in the rear and you will be fine without modification of the fender/fender liner.

335's and you will need major camber, -3.0 or more and you will need to modify the inner fender well.

They USUALLY fit perfectly... Some folks have had to slightly roll their inner fenders and even trim the liner back. I had them on my turbo with rolled fenders (very slightly) and they would only hit the liner under hard load/bottoming of the suspension but it wasn't any major issue... They felt great on the car and look better than stock TT wheels due to the offset and fender fillout...

Note: I was running PSS9's at the time on lowered settings but nowhere near slammed (about 1 finger front and rear)

thanks all the purposeful look is what i like about the GT2 but i think the suspension has a lot to play in that of course. I know if I change the wheels I'll want to lower it and living in london that is a pain! - Will keep you posted thanks for the pics and advice

foxworth,

i currently run the gt2 wheels (purchased from a 6speeder). i have no problems. i have the ROW springs on my car which does lower it slightly.
no need to roll the fenders for me and no rubbing noted.

I have them with 315s on the rear, no probs.

I am running stock suspension.
