Jeez Tom, thats terrible. Given you relatively mild mods, I suspect your occurrence was something of a fluke (although that admittedly does nothing to ease your resulting agravation and burden). Good luck with the repair.

Sorry to hear about your motor. Out here in Los Angeles there is a company called Porsche Dismantlers (Lance runs it) 818.767.7243. Last week I saw a really nice 03 Turbo there that they were parting out due to frame damage..the engine is strong, it may be of interest.

I had this happen to me a few years back. One thing I learned quickly was the word "track" and "warranty" should never be used together. Best of luck to you.

Terrible news Tom.
What is redline of the program your are running? (was it raised from the
stock 6750 rpms?).
What oil do you run?
Do you hit the rev limiter all the time (like me)?
I am sorry for your trouble, now go out and build a real strong motor
(which doesnt have to be 800 hp).
Good luck

Sorry to hear the bad news mate!
As per Craig and Mark are saying STOCK MOTOR, think you have had a bad egg all along Tom. Theses motors are bullet proof, Yip we know rods are pretty weak but overall the motor is pretty strong.
Your obviously going to get a new motor, I would do same again, stick with stocker and do the minor mods to give it a bit more zip that will hopefully not interfere with warranty! Tom you know i'm doing more track work with new Motons, TRG Drop Links, Solid bushes etc, etc and the car is way fast enough for track. It's maybe worth sending the blown Motor to a tuner on forum to have a little inspection to see exactly the extent of damage, very interested! Sorry again to hear the bad news, hope you get back in the seat soon.
