hehe.. it was an '02 Z06 I'm pretty sure. Either that or '03.

Another factor could be the speed from which you start? (My theory)
If you're at a stronger sweet spot for one car's gearing at 30 mph vs. the other's at say 45 mph? You know... then once one car starts creeping, it's almost impossible to real back in.

Stock, the '01 turbo weighs in at 3395lbs for the 6spd (I would assume that is dry weight)
Porsche claims the '02 Turbo also weighs 3395 lbs for the 6-speed; and you're right, that's dry.

I weighed my '02 on racing scales, and with a full tank of gas and no occupants it weighed 3485 lbs. The only "weight" options that I have are sunroof delete and floor mats.
