Painted Turbo LOGO Help
Painted Turbo LOGO Help
I am planning to get a Turbo logo in color. I have a 2001 Arctic Silver Mettalic 996 Turbo.
What color do you think will look good on this? Since I do consider you family, all advise will be taken into consideration.
I was thinking Guards Red but I think red is played out. Flat Black sounds cool though.
Ohh and how do you remove the existing logo? I tried the dental floss and fishing string trick, but it didn't work it just snaps the string! Any help would be great on this.
Thanks!

It is held on with a double sticky foam tape.
I would try Goo Off solvent. There is also a label remover at http://www.uline.com/Browse_Listing_...?Pricode=WK686
I would test and make sure that the solvent doesn't effect the paint. Test in an unseen location.
I was thinking of adding the word "Twin" in front of the existing "Turbo" insignia.

I've gone through three "Turbo" badges in the last year looking for the right color. I first changed my stock chrome one to a Carbon Fiber one (purchased for about $30 off eBay); the particular CF used, however, was too light (didn't match my CF wing/mirrors). I finally changed to a black logo (http://jageng.com/garage9/product_in...1a7b1bf0f432d5 for about $25); I'm happy with how it came out. FWIW, I've heard the BumperPlug logos are very high quality, but are also somewhat expensive ($100+).
Thanks its on Order
Thanks! I just ordered from bumperplugs.com
Yes it is very high quality from him, but well worth it. Since I am very critical of quality for my Turbo.
I orderd Cobalt Blue! Should look hot with my Arctic Silver Mettalic paint and CF wing and black exhaust tips!

Damn that looks good. Far better on the car than in our shop! We have been producing quite a few lately. If we can get enough folks who all want one color at a time, in enough volume, we'll consider a group buy (per color). Email me if interested, with color choice, and I'll put the list together to see if we can help with the cost a bit.
