What tire sizes for 19" Sportecs?

The wheel shop suggested:

Fronts 235/35-19 (9ff uses thicker 245/30-19)
Rears 315/25-19

What size do you guys reckon?

They are going on a 996 Turbo

I use 245/35/19 and 305/30/19 on the back. MPPS2's of course. I want to move to a 315, but I don't know if I can deal with such a small profile.

Powell your theoretical dimensions put you about 1.8% difference in diameter:
245/35-19 3.4in 12.9in 25.8in 80.9in 783 0.0%
305/30-19 3.6in 13.1in 26.2in 82.3in 770 1.8%

235/35-19 3.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 -1.1%
315/25-19 3.1in 12.6in 25.2in 79.2in 800 -2.1%

Whereas the 235/35 & 315/25 are 1%...I agree...not much rubber there!

What does it look like for a 235/35 and 305/30? I'm going to have to get new tires in the next few months. I really dont want to go down to a 25 profile because I drive on a lot of rough roads.

Worse:
235/35-19 3.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 0.0%
305/30-19 3.6in 13.1in 26.2in 82.3in 770 2.9%

235/40-19 3.7in 13.2in 26.4in 82.9in 764 3.6%

Looks like 235/40-19 and the 305/30-19 are good to go though.

I have the Sportecs. Go on there website. They recommend

Fronts 235/35-19
Rears 315/25-19

Though you can use 245/35-19 for the fronts if the 235's are unavailable.

315's are OK on the street, no problems for me.

305 on an 11" rim. 315 on a 12.

235 up front.

I recommend the PS2 or Yokohama Advan Sport. Give me a call if I can help.
