Hello sixspeed community, I think I will have proof for those who doubt my car. Yesterday, I ran into a beautiful 996 turbo and started up a conversation with the owner about his car. I expained to him about my car and the problems I been having with my heads, he understood and has had some issues with his car. Eventually the conversion end about EVOMS and how they build the fastest cars... etc About his his car, "it is the GT800 plus kit and no option was spared", actually he told me to look for the video where the EVOMS GT800 kit ran a 9 sec 1/4. So explained to him that my car should be back in Texas sometime in October and I would like to race him. He agreed and so soon I will hopefully have proof how fast or slow my car is against a GT 800 plus kit! I will video tape both cars, before, during and provide an after the race interview if he agrees. So renntechv12, I soon will have proof for you .

How many GT800 cars are out there currently and what is their status??

This should be a fun line up since a GT800 already ran a 9 second quarter...

I dont know about how many GT800s there are and if any are running? I have been pressuring Todd to have my car ready for the Texas mile. If so, this GT 800 (plus) will race me there :-) If not there then we will have a meeting in mexico. I cant wait to run my car against this 9 second car... action!

 

rob - can I get in on the action? I would like to run both cars for fun as well...

We will see how fast the GT800+ Kit is and ofcourse I will video tape it. Peter and everone else can join in. If my setup is like Scott's car I will be very happy. Hmm I hear that Craig is selling his EVOMS GT950.. wow after all the written abuse I recieved from him... now that is interesting. Maybe, we can get someone to buy it here in Texas so I can race it as well???

Make sure that you get some driftbox and 1/4 mile slips to verify your claims.

 

Video is not good enough?

 

Video of a 1/4 mile run with the times is good enough. Video of a race isn't. It doesn't prove anything other than you beat that car/driver, it doesn't show what your cars' performance is.

Are you afraid to 1/4 mile it or do the 60-130 with a driftbox?

 

How about if I race and beat you? Would that be good enough?

Not at all, this is a free forum! If I am disrespecting anyone I am sorry but I am just responding to an earlier comment about my car not being fast or having proof. So, to the person who doesnt think my car is fast, I will post a video of me racing it or if that is not good enough I would like to race that person's car... man I wish my car would be back for the Tex-Ok game! Renntech could represent Ou and I could represent UT.. meet in Dallas and have us a race!!!!!!!! Please Todd can you get my car done in time!!! But seiously, I am just having fun... this is what having hobbies is all about.
