Setting up a race with video
FYI Rob and anyone else who thinks they know what is going on,
Yes my car is at Evo.........for new 83 lb Siemens/Bosche injectors and new tune.Yes they were both at the track back in June(Atco)the previous day(before the world record pass at E-town)but because at Atco you cannot go around the waterbox I smoked the clutch trying to do a rolling burnout through the VHT to get the water off.The first pass was a 10.90 @ 129mph with the clutch letting go in 4th gear.I tried cooling it down for the second pass and it let go again resulting in a 10.6 @122mph.Subsequently Todd Z did the same thing on his car resulting in a fried clutch also.He ran a 10.18 and a 10.3 at Atco with horrible 2.0 short times because of the water. There was only time to fix one car in order to make the time trials the next night at E-town because we had to ship clutches across country and they arrived the next day at 10:00am with the clutch for my car being the wrong one (for a dual mass flywheel) so we fixed Evoms car and left my car home.At E-town Todd Z's car ran only 2 passes .....10.1x@150 (he got out of the groove in 2nd gear)and the 9.67@ 149.50.We then got kicked the f*ck out,so it wasn't like I could return the next week and just run my car without anyone noticing it.So I decided to just let the summer heat pass and send the car to Evoms for new injectors and tune.I spent one month waiting for the right carrier to transport to AZ.Just as a comparison my car ran a 10.50@140.68 (awd)on the same day in AZ (at a sh*tty prepped track with bad DA)that the same Evoms "shop car"ran 10.40@143.xx so the conspiracy theory that only the Evoms shop car will run good is a bust. Will this translate into a 9sec or low 10sec pass for me .......I don't know....but I will find out and won't talk sh*t until I do.Why don't you try the same.

ROBMD....what the **** have you done that enables you to talk to this man about his 10 second pass like you've done something better? The more you talk the dumber everyone realizes you are.
Bull****! When he goes out and actually backs up his claims, then he'll get the praise, NOT BEFORE. The only bashing that I've done is by calling him a poser, because that's what he is. I've complimented Mark's, Scott's and Marty's cars, so don't give me that "people will still bash" ****. The guys I just mentioned have actually made accomplishments with their cars, this dude has done nothing but talk out his *** about what he "might one day do", I'm all about results, of which he has ZERO.
Aloha
Byron
I don't want to get between Renn/Rob/Proto/EVo, however, I do want to say a bit about roll on verses other types of racing.
First, I have tremendous respect for track racing (having done it once) and admit that, overall, it does probably take more skill than any other type of racing.
However, most tracks do not allow us, that is very high hp cars, to explore our cars full capabilities in terms of acceleration and truly high speed. Roll on racing does. Yes, I know that it is illegal...and yes, I know it is dangerous. But I absolutely love it and, while I take as many precautions as possible, if I were to die doing it, I would die doing what I love.
And it does take skill, not to mention the countless hours and thousands of dollars to build a truly fast car. Roll ons usually come at unexpected times agfainst uknown opponents. You have to guage their powerbands and handle a dozen other things while allowing a fair race. And there is no thrill quite like a high hp race to 160. That is why someone w/ lots of confirmed kills by people I know gets my respect, even though he may not have a time slip.

he also bragged about his car making 200rwhp more than a GT700, another bogus claim. Please don't degrade yourself by defending this poser, you're better than that.

Hmmmmm, lots of fighting here, I didn't know that there were so many opposing camps and hostile feelings... In any event, my car ran a 5.1 60-130 sprint at TX2K7, I hope to get into the 4 second range at the Lonestar 60-130 event at the end of this month. Rob, if you can walk out on me, I guarantee you that your car is DAMN FAST and capable of sub 5 second 60-130. Let's just go out and have some fun...
I am picking up a drift box from John this week. I just need some tutorial help on pulling times off the vbox and getting them onto the forum in one of those pretty little graphs...
Rob, let me know when you are ready. I will be at Lonestar on Sept. 29th at the 60-130 event, come out if you can and run your car.

No opposing camps, just real men calling out posers, that's all. We all may have different tuners, but we respect each others' accomplishments

That supra of yours is one bad ****! I've ridden in Guilly's 900RWHP supra, it was spinning the tires at 100mph
Peter,
I can't beleive this event isn't getting more attention....a series of 60-130 comps.....what more can one ask for?
I bet you get close to a 4.8, since the 5.1 was in a headwind.
I tried calling Lone star to get some info....I want to run in the street car division, and want to make sure that my Nitto 01's (DOT approved R-compounds) qualify. I even toyed w/ slapping some Nitrous on for this event.

How's everybody doin? This is some good reading! Sorry I have been gone for so long...not that anyone missed me. I've been a little strung out with withdrawals and D/T's after selling the GT2...business must come first so that I can have more of these toys in the future.
Speaking of toys, I am building a 934 replica out of a 1986 911 Turbo and it is going to "Kick the Living **** out of any car on this forum"! I know it hasn't been tested, but check out the stats: Stripped to bare tub and acid dipped, seam welded and caged, powder-coated, 2200-2400lbs., 700+RWHP Individual Throttle Bodied 3.4 with a GT4094R spinning to 8600RPM, close ratio 930 4-speed, 934 body with 11" front & 14" rear flares housing CCW 18x10 & 18x13 wheels, Moton coilovers, ERP, Smart Racing Products, etc.
Entire car will be finished in 2007 GT3 RS green! (powder coated interior and undercarriage, wet paint exterior)
I don't have any numbers yet, but it will definitely be quicker, faster, and better handling than RobMD's car!
Oh, and by the way, it's not being built by anyone you guys know.

Drive it and have fun. Do you think **** stars argue over who's is bigger while they're not on camera?
Few will believe your claims until they see you banging jenna jameson on video. I can't really disagree.

RennTech - thanks man, the Supra rolls out pretty hard... I have known Guilly for about 10 years now, we have a colored past!
He is a great guy...
Sean - I know, I wish it were getting more attention too. The less people, the more runs for us...
Slap on the Nitrous and bring it... As for my times, I would be happy with a sub 5 second run...
