Differential for the 996TT?
Differential for the 996TT?
So after a week trip to the Ring, the car's now at Manthey (clutch has to be changed).
They also suggested adding a differential (60% slip) for the 996TT (AWD) ?
Any experience ?
The car's a modded AWD Turbo and it's driven both on smaller and larger circuits. The main focus is on the Nürburgring. So keep that in mind (it's not a slalom course with tiny corners where the car is always on a slide...well actually...it might be on the Ring too
)

The power comes from modded K16s so yes it is modded but not a hugely powerful car. (Actually rated at 530 European hp before swapping the exhaust and intake, EVOMS cars with over 600hp cannot go past.)
Any comments would be appreciated! Because I'm not a guy who buys everything because of comments "yeah man it's great!!" Need something more...
Btw. 260km/h GPS speed was measured in the Schwedenkreuz corner....better to ease a bit

Some marketing from Manthey:
- reduced wheel spin
- better acceleration
- less tyre wear
- lower stress on the Visco-clutch for the front wheel drive

Kaizu,
I am using the Paul Guard Limited Slip and can only say that Manthey is right. Much better car to drive on the track. My car is pushing 685 HK at 1,1 bar (max boost is 1,3 bar) and is very fast and "easy" to drive on the track with the limited slip.

try asking if they have a car you can test before you spend $10K or so. It would be a shame if you didn't like it.

unless that is the goal. Highly recommend the "Gaurd" LSD.
Thanks for the advices!
Going to get it!
Erik from rs6.com took a pic of the car from the Manthey parking lot. I left it there sometime ago and it seems to be in good company:
