Performance mods & future value
This is the first Porsche I have ever owned and am curious to know how after market upgrades might negatively impact the resale value of the car. It is an 03 996 C2 Cab??
I am considering the following, EVO cold air intake,Powerchip upgrade, fabspeed exhaust and headers and PSS9 suspension.
Your comments and opinions would be appreciated!
Thanks

Darren,
chip+intake = <1000.00
evo supercharger = >10,000.00
You cant really sub one for the other
To answer your question, everything u are planning on doing is a simple bolt on, so you should remove them before u sell and ebay them... Just my .02c

i'd leave it alone or go with the SC way after warranty expires. PSS-9 is for sure.
btw, if u're thinking about future value u better keep it stock cuz u'll lose money for sure.

All aftermarket upgrades will have a negative effect on resale. Leave it stock or put it back to stock if you plan to sell. I used to be a proponent of certain aftermarket upgrades, but I've learned you can't beat the factory on these cars.
BTW none of the bolt on upgrades do anything for performance, the possible exception being the suspension upgrade if you track the car a lot. Most coilover "upgrades" are done for a lower ride height on street cars, few have maxed out the factory suspension and need the lower ride height and adjustability a coilover allows. Remember a change in ride height requires a new alignment, which could prove to be a hassle. If you want it lower than RoW M030 use the factory X74.

the SC is a bolt on and it does everything for performance. totally different beast with the SC than without it.

The difference between real tuners is how they choose which items, for which purpose. I have traditionally taken the "softer" approach to changes. Been servicing Porsche for many decades; my clients appreciate this direction, especially when they trade up in the future. Careful out there in web bs dimension, you need hip boots and a big shovel...it gets heavy.
