18" Porsche 911 Chrome Wheels

So,

I found a dude with 18" chromed rims off of a 2004 911 and he wants to sell them. He says he had them chromed by Porsche and they have the crest on the center cap. I am trying to determine if they would look good on my Targa, if they would fit and if $1000 is reasonable...thoughts? What questions should I ask him?

Attached is a pic he sent me...

If it doesn't work out I could sell you some chrome Technologies for dirt cheap.

I would say the Chrome plating weight is negligible.

I almost bought a car with the Chromed Porsche turbo wheels. I suspect the Porsche dealer sent them out to be chromed.

Personally I like the brushed aluminum look just as good.

That sounds like a great deal on those wheels. I love the look of polished or chromed wheels on a dark 996. Blinkwatt, could you show me some pictures of your wheels? For $300 they would make great track wheels. Mark

I'm not a fan of the chrome, just me but if you like it I say go for it! I like the brushed polished aluminum look better. Just my thoughts.

From the different threads I've read in this forum, chrome is not a popular choice among the p-car owners.
