where do you guys place your v1's, I want to get one, but i dont want it to be in the center of my window. has anyone put it off to the bottom left by the driver? does it still work well? thanks

consider also the K40 remote, may not be as sensitive as the V1, but is totally hidden, has front and read sensors and has a laser diffuser to defeat laser (not just tell you you've been caught)

 

Most independent reviews in recent years have put the V1 and Escort 8500 about equal--usually one wins some categories, and the the other the rest.

The new Escort 8500 is significantly improved (according to the manufacturer). If these improvements pan out, one would expect the Escort to definitely outperform the V1, but independent tests will probably be needed to verify this.

Personally, I find the V1 too ugly for my my 996 --OK, I guess that's sort of shallow

 

I appreciate all the input. Caf it is the ugliest! Will the new 8500 have directionals and bogies?
