Lotus Elise
Thinking about getting on the waiting list (80 something) for an Elise. I've been reading so much on it lately and it sounds like a really fun 3rd car. Anybody here getting one?

I was on the Elise waiting list...
...but cancelled when I bought my 72 Ferrari Dino. Decided the Elise was just too small to use on the streets, its smaller and lower than a Miata. Just too many big cars out there that would just crush it. If I could spend more track time I would DEFINITELY get one, its a great little car!
I was on the list at Hunting Ridge motors in NY/NJ. Email mark@huntingridgemotors.com, tell him I sent ya and he might just give you my old allocation space -- ya never know!

I'n not sure on color also, thinking about Yellow or Orange
I have a pal in the UK that's had one for a while. Loves the thing. Not safe as a dauly D. Especially the way Bay Area commuters are and all... but one hell of a nice go-kart.

I have a Saffron Yellow with Touring and Hardtop on the way. Should be here late summer/early fall. I can't wait.
I drove the elise 111s they had as a demo at my dealer and was impressed. The steering is the best, bar none. And the ride was surprisingly livable.
My dealer's US demo car should be here in a few weeks so I'll be able to give a better impression at that time.

We had one here and getting in and out of that thing was a BEAR! And I'm only 5' 8". Looks like a blast to drive, though.
