I have a 03 Carrera Cab which I love. But I spotted a 05 S Cab at a local dealer at a good price. I want to do some winter projects with my car (Want to add a TT Rear Bumper to go w my TT Front... GT3 Sway Bars along with PSS9) and other odds and ends. We are talking 5 6 k prob to get and install all this. Should i just get the 997 S Cab? I mean I love the 997 look but I have a aerokit on my car w 19s.. painted calipers..TT Front and maybe Rear its close to the C4S look in my book. What do you guys think looks better a 996 C4S Cab or a 997 S Cab???? Also with the PSS9 and Sways would my car handle and ride like the 997 you think??? Thanks guys for any input

 

997 IMHO More future potential

 

plus its an S 997 and all of the improvements done to it

ouch, are you just going to trade in your 03? are you going to buy the 05 and take your time to sell the the 03?
maybe its just me but i like the look of 996 turbo better than 997S. But the extra HP is sweet though.

 

i'd wait for the 998 honestly, plus the 996 c4s looks more aggressive than the 997

 

Go for the S.

 

I would look for Turbo if I want to change a good 996TT or 997TT if you can afford IMO.

 

I'd go w/ the 997, although im not a huge fan of the retro headlights.

 

I would follow your desire of choice ... but several people gave a hint that may make your decision easy ... what will you get if you sell your 03? What would the difference (delta) be?
Now is that difference small enough for you to still want the 05?
Unfortunatly ... it ALWAYS comes down to money
