factory stereo unlock code?

I have the factory stereo installed and in the event that i have to disconnect my battery, will i need to enter an unlock code to get my stereo working again? if so, where would i find this number? its not in my owners manual.

To get radio codes you will need the serial # Mod # and this web site http://www.31bubblegum.proboards54.com/index.cgi

They usually respond it 5 min or less......

dang, hoe would i get this info? i was hoping that the code would printed in the trunk or somethin like on hondas

I believe the code is located in the back of the stereo so you have to pull it out.

Factory Stereo unlock code

Your factory unlock code should be in maintenance handbook. I believe it's written in card. They give this during your purchase of the car. If you know somebody in a dealer they can get it for you.

Serial # and Model # are on the RT side of the unit. You do not have to take the unit all of the way out. Just take off the horse shoe trim and 4 Torq screws.

The leather case for the manual has a card holder place for the radio code card. Thats where mine is.

I had this problem and went a week without a radio haha. I couldn't get anything to work and finally i went to the option i should have first. I got the serial and model off the radio info menu and just called the dealer. Within 5 min the lady there called me back with it

There's a 9 Volt battery with adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter that holds memory. You can pick one up at the local parts store.
