Any kind of ding or scratch is a downer. A wreck like that is down right depressing, but hey you walked out alive and that's the important thing.

Bad luck on the crash. At least you walked away from it, many are not so lucky.
I'm intrigued how it happened though. Lift off on a corner or something ?

Thanks guy's for the comments and I blame no one but myself. The accident happened around midnight and I was following a friend home through some back roads I have never driven before. He knew the roads and I didn't. We had a decent straight away and I passed him and kept my speed through a wide turn that put me into a sharp turn that I was not expecting. The rear end came loose and I over corrected it and wound up hopping a ditch and going through two palm tree's. The vehicle kept running and after I woke up from my head hitting the steering wheel my nose opened up and I got out and started running in shock. The next toy will be a older 993 porsche to really learn how to drive all over again. Lesson learned and I am ready to move on.

I crashed by Marsh Landing and the Ruckus pic was taken at the Shell station by Twisted in Ponte Vedra. Watch out for the BIG GIRLS !

hmmm, you should stick with the 996, it'll stay on the road better than the 993. Glad your OK.

Wow sorry to hear about it & thank god youre ok. I know how you feel, I wrecked a Z28 in 89 & walked away fine, but lost the car. It took a while to get over that. My 2 cents, get right back into another one & as stated take the DE route. Good luck.

Can't argue with that, but after thinking about the situation and what went wrong it would be excellent if i could learn driving at a grassroots level. The 993 is a much more challenging track car in my eyes and if I can tame it on the track sliding into a more recent model should be a safe transition. I dunno maybe I am wrong.

So sorry - wow, glad you are ok. I agree about taking a DE class - really teaches you how to handle the car and what it is capable of. I have one for sale if you want to replace it! She is great on the track and corners!
