C2 vs C4S

i caught the new car bug over the holidays. i absolutely love my boxster, but i've been thinking about a 911 for awhile. i drove a C2 and while it was amazing, it felt odd to me, like the front was not planted. i thought, ok i'll hold on to my boxster.

yesterday i drove a C4S. wow! it felt glued to road. cornered like it was on rails. the steering was a little heavier than the boxster and C2. but the ride was intoxicating. now i gotta have one. if i keep this up i'll be broker than the ten commandments.

after you get your C4S, you have to set it up with stick rubbers and coilover setup plus sway bars... that's intoxicating!

I love my C2. But I still remember that day my buddy picked me up in his dads new at the time C4S Cab. That car handled like nothing I ever been in before it was RIDICULAS. I had a M3 at the time , and i was never the same after that til I got my own P Car of course ....but the C4S is just unbelievable, i wish I had one ova my C2. Actually does anyone have the stats on the handling of the two cars a C2 and C4S like the g in those Car Driver Stats. I believe I saw the 997 S before at .95 g which is sick

The US spec suspension makes the C2 handles poorly due to DOT bumper regulations. Upgrade to ROW030 or X74 or GT3 or PSS9s and the front end floatiness goes away.

Same is in the C4 as well....which means the C4S gets BETTER with X73 or PSS9s....

but it does not give you the rwd driving experience If I do not have a winter ride, I would want awd. You should be fine with a lighter C2 in TX. Drive all of them and decide which one you like best.

I just took my car out to get a coffee since its 10 degrees here in the NE and had to take her out to warm her up. The C2 is SO FLOATY its ridiculas. Like I mentioned before I took my spare out, and my tires are obvisuosly cold. But will ROW and PSS9 make that much of a difference in the ride and that floatiness? If it would I have to break down and do it I think, just so expensive. Haha u can say I want that C4S feel though

If you can afford it, get the C4S - mine sticks to the road.

Not to mention factory widebody, turbo suspension, AWD drivetrain, just to name a few.

thinking about this instead of a turbo, but then again, nothing is as fun as a turbo, well there is, a faster turbo

To answer your question: YES a new suspension will transform a C2. I put on x74 and float and uncertainty is GONE. Best thing I ever did.

I don't want to get into a debate of rwd vs awd since I own both. Both has merits but I chose the toy to be rwd only for a reason.

OK...wont argue, but a BMW AWD and Porsche AWD are 2 different animals...I drove 3 Pcars back to back and I liked the C4 for the planted feel...ut has more understeer stock, but PSS9's takes care of that...

Compare a C2S with PSS9s and C4S with the same set up. You need to compare apples to apples.
