Techart exhaust......

Just to get everyone up to speed, I ordered the TT-Cab last year and was expecting delivery in March/April. March/April rolled around and dealer said May/June. June rolled around and dealer said end of July. Well Porsche stepped in and said Turbo S for a lot less money that I was going to pay for the TT-Cab with X50.

Needless to say, I've been very disenchanted with the whole process and Porsche's announcement of the 996 turbo S, so I decided that I'm just going to wait for the 998 Turbo.

Which leads me to my question, Techart Exhaust? I've heard the several different exhaust systems over the past few months and just really like the Techart sound!

My question is can I expect to see "any" power gains from an aftermarket exhaust given my C2 is naturally aspirated? Would adding headers make a significant difference?

Thanks for the input guys!

Rob

headers, exhaust, ecu, intake, trottlebody, cams, and all these good things don't do diddly to your coche. i would say expect about a 4-5 hp gain for each upgrade, in the end you still have a slow car. there is no other way but forced induction to gain any true HP that you will feel at the pedal. all that other stuff might as well be mental HP gain. i think Todd at EVO has a pretty nice super charger system that you might want to consider if you want your car to have some juice. btw i think waiting for the 998tt is definitely the way to go.

adding all those stuff i.e. headers, mufflers etc. will help your car a little bit, but the price on them is not worth it in my opinion why sepnd areound 5,000.00 bux on them when ur hp gain will probably less than 30 hp total, where u can spend 10,000.. for a supercharger that will giove u an hp inc. of about 100 hp i believe..

im pretty much decided on getting the s/c but it wont be for a while.. probabaly ina year or so, just have to find a away to convince my wife.. to let me pull the trigger lol.. my argument to her is that it is cheaper to buy a supercharger than a 996 Twin turbo lol

yea, that's pretty much what I was thinking. I still like the sound of the techart though!!

998 TT is going to be my "fast" car and my "little red devil" is just going to look and sound "fast".

Thanks for the feedback boys!

BTW saw 2 carrera GT's last week. WOW!

I'm with you on the SC brother... Maybe we can get the cars done side by side. OR, better yet... Group Buy!

Rob,
sorry to hear the news about your turbo. But "baby" is not bad esp with a SC.
