Use 0-40. I tried using 5-50w and was getting a slight tap sund smeing from the engine. It sounded like a lifter tapping sound. I took it t the dealer and they said it was the oil I was using. They changed the oil to 0-40 and and the noise when away.

you will be fine with Mobil1 0w-40.
Just change the oil regularly and you'll be set.

redline would be good if you are doing alot of track events, but for normal spirited driving i'd say not worth it.

oh... and welcome... let's see you car!

In Canada I would just use the factory weight or Red line 4w40. I have used Redline for years and will continue, but before the flame wars begin any high quality synthetic changed at 7500 miles or once a year will suffice. Mobile 1 is a good choice because you can purchase almost everywhere. Now I live in the desert where often at 6 am in the Summer the low is 95 to 105. I have started the car after sitting in the garage for a week and the water temp starts at 105-110. Engine temps easily hit 210 to 230 in traffic. I use Redline 15w 50 and if I couldn't get it would use mobile 1 15w 50. I have never had or felt any difference starting a cold engine, but then a cold engine here is 60 degrees.
