Check previous posts about the supercharger... probably the best bang for your buck.

you could do exhaust/headers in conjuction with a chip & intake but from what other members have said from their own experiences you dont get much for your $$$ and in the end you could spend upwards of 2-4K for those individual parts alone. If you want improved driving performance your best bet is to change your suspension as it should make a nice difference in feel and also will make your car look better. (lower) Other than than.... start saving up for an SC... i am. =D

The modest gains you would get from a chip coupled with exhaust/headers just seems so crazy for the money you'd spend. I would save your dough and go SC if you can later on.

I recommend losing some weight to improve the unsprung weight of the car. (I'm not talking waist line either) Light weight wheels, etc. That is a great way to improve the looks and performance.

Doc,

Reducing the sprung weight of the car would contribute more to better handling and performance than lighter wheels would.

Improved suspension adds to better handling and performance, talk to Arling at Lucent for expert advice.

the best performance upgrade for your car is to sell it and buy a TT. otherwise coilovers and sticky tires like the corsa. engine upgrades are a waste.

save your money. i had replace the exhaust/chip tuned, cold air intake and manifold and notice very little gain in performance, but the car does sound better.

Yeah, I got the exhaust, intake & headers for my car. I did not notice any extra acceleration on the car (sound was very nice though). When I got it chipped, that is when it opened up these mods a bit more. I did notice it was a bit faster after that. Not monumental but better. If you want a cheap upgade, the EVOM's stage 1 is not bad. But otherwise I would save for the SC.

Chip won't help much, neither will exhaust...SC will provide noticeable gains.

Keep it the way it is...enjoy it!

For the money the Supercharger is definately the best bang for the buck. Raced my friends SC against a GT3 and smoked him, and hung in with a stock Turbo. If your runnin' a 3.4L SC is the best you can do.
