Broke my heart....
So i had to do a job at this used car/body shop place in NJ and i notice a 99 C4. And the owner was doing some work and as soon as i could get my eyes on the engine bay my jaw dropped. This guy used flexable dryer duct pipe for an intake system!!! It looked so bad he must have used about 3 feet of pipe to get it in there, then he cut a hole in it for the air sensor which he then used silicone to hold that in place, i'm like dude it's a porsche you cant half *** it. Some people just should not own a porsche!!!
haha i did try to get a pic but as i pulled my cell phone out laughing he quickly closed the lid, i might do some work there tomorrow and i'll def. find a way to get a shot of this nightmare
pics or ban!!! that is something I'd like to definitely see.
Maybe we need a "hall of shame" forum?? This could go right in there with the 996 spotted on the 405 rolling with 20" chrome spinners!!!

Good call! Someone should start a "Hall of Shame" thread.
There are more than enough examples out there of what NOT to do to a Porsche.
I guess I will start this thread and we can all have a good chuckle!
Hope we don't end up posting any 6 Speeder rides.

Dryer duct is very heat resistant and flexible. I used the lint trap screen as the air filter. If you leave the lint in there, it does a good job. Also makes a nice home for garage mice during the winter. Don't worry, I put my cat in there every spring to clean them out. Much easier to assemble this unit than a K&N....
