G37coupe Compared to 2003 C4S
A friend just picked up a 2008 G37 Coupe and began comparing my 03-C4S coupe to his ride. Basically saying how my ride was inferior to his. Kinda got under my skin. In the end I had to tell him, "Your driving a Nissan and I'm driving a Porsche." Don't get me wrong the G37 is a nice ride, but I don't think it's in the same company as the Porsche? Right or wrong? I bet on a G37 forum they would rip my Pcar to shreds in doing a comparison.
Haha, when I read the title of this post, I thought "Seriously?"
My mom is looking at a G37, she has an 07 Acura TL Type-S. I don't know, the G37 seems to be a nice cruiser type car with tons of luxury and some power. However it's very heavy. I don't think you could compare the two. You just have to laugh it off. I give Nissan some credit, they keep trying to evolve the design but they aren't in the Porsche league. Even the GT-R, very tempting car, but still would buy a Porsche any day.

bottom line- go valet park both cars and see which one gets the preferred up-front spot. -or- see which car owner is NOT handed a valet ticket and just gets an "I got it sir".

i would just show him the nearest exit sign. lol
i like the g37c but i take an used c4s anyday.
in fact, i take c4s over a g37c + a free g35 sedan, if someone offered me that option.

sounds like you need to make some new friends
can you get me guest pass to magic castle?
seriously, test drive a G37, it can't even be categorized as a sports car.

There are so many cars out there that can perform so much better than what you can use on the road performance wise that there are other distinctions to be considered. I own a C6 Vette and a 4Runner as my alternate vehicles. The C4S is my favorate. Each does the job that they are intended for better than any other for the price that they cost. If you can only own one vehicle The G37 may be a good compromise.

i drove the g37 and while the lines were sexy, the paddles reminded me of a challenge stradale, it was still kind of missing "something."
you're car blows the inifiniti out of the water! no question!!
basically, i feel ya. it's kind of like when porsche guys brag about their TT's and i say, "you're car is hott, no doubt, but it's still just a porsche."
The G37 is a nice car and the Japanese manufacturers have really made big strides taking marketshare out of the German 3-series, A-class and C-class but seriously, comparing it to a P-car?
Was your friend on crack when he said that???
