Thumbs up Repairing a Champion Motorsport Rim

I just noticed that the D/S front rim has a twist in the outer rim where the tire meets the rim. It almost appears as if someone slipped a tire iron/screwdriver in between the two and pulled slightly outward. Does anyone know of a good aftermarket rim repair facility. This a three piece rim & I did contact Champion, however the fella I spoke with said they do not do repair work?? Strange that a business wouldn't repair their own product. They are suppose to get back with an answer.
Appreciate any feedback.

u hit a hole, bent the wheel. not screw driver. Champion won't fix it just like most wheel maker unless u want to replace the entire outer rim. find a reputable wheel repair shop. should be a very easy job for a pro.

I had my champion wheels fixed...it was a tad more expensive than I thought but...the rims are fine now. Check with Eli, Fast Forward Wheels, he is a member on the board and in Los Angeles. Good luck.

Agreed..bent is a lot different than a little curb rash is what I had. I never bent the rim.

ya, they look more like Kenesis wheels or something. i could be wrong.

but yes, if the rim is bent, it will be very difficult to get it back to original.

Yeah, I remember yours buddy....

You had bright dipped anodized on that three piece wheel, we had to take it down repair and have it dipped for you.... I remember getting it on your car at 10PM in time for the run the next day..

Thanks for the referal, take care...

Well Im getting the rim repaired this week. I pulled the wheel and lo and behold it's not a Champion Wheel, rather an Artec rim/wheel.

I was told by the dealer that they were Champion. Anyhow, hopefully it will be good as new when I get it back from the repair shop.

Hi Eli,

I got some bad rash on my brand new MRR wheels (different car W204.) One piece wheel, clear coated. how much approx. will it cost to fix & is it a fix while you wait deal? How do you refinish the wheel, because wont there be a flat spot where you have to file/sand it down?
