OK your question is not that clear, but if your asking how much HP does the X51 powerkit have over the non X51. Its 25 more HP

I took my car to a newly referred mechanic for a "check-up". The guy services porsches, ferraris, lambos, etc. Anyway he test drove it and commented the car was a "champion" compared to similar models with non X51 engine he has driven. I didn't realize that's the way to drive a porsche (My driving knowledge is with the turtle group )

He also said the wheel bearings on the driver side might need replacement

From what I've read, X51 engine includes aluminum manifold, ported heads, larger bore exhaust manifold with sports exhaust, and a revised ECU.

It's fairly expensive to do it as an add-on. There are probably more cost efficient options out there ...

takes time, smarts and $$$$ to truly do right on a normally aspirated engine

It's too much to add on, try to find one with the kit already on it.

How can you visually tell an x51 996 C4S from a non x51?
Exhaust finishers?
Something in the vin?

x51 intake manifold will be flatter and wider and will be made from all aluminum unlike the black plastic runners of the non-x51 manifold.
