Get these 2 things to support Sirius with the head unit and you're set!

Kenwood 8120

I just had a Kenwood 8120 and JL amp installed in my 03 C4S last week also. Along with JL C5's up front with Dynomat in the doors and 1, 8" JL sub in a custom built enclosure put where the Bose bass box was. Way more sound than I bargained for. I absolutely love it. I'm not a tech geek but really love this 8120. It does everything you can think of and more. The GPS is just like the Garmin Nuvi I had,the Bluetooth is made by Parrot and does not require anything extra.I have my Ipod Nano in the glove box along with the other USB cables etc. One of my favorite features is that the screen tilts about 5 or 6 different ways and will also tilt inward. This helps out greatly with the reflection off of the screen. This unit also plays DVD's and the resolution on the screen is excellent.

I highly suggest this unit to anyone looking to replace their factory Bose system. Absolutley NO comparison!!!!

I didn't realize I would enjoy it as much as I am.

I took it by to let Eric at BumperPlugs listen to it and he was very impressed. He has done a FANTASTIC job painting the surrounds and storage cubby, along with all the other parts he has done for me.

I am going in today to price out a settup with the 8120 with XM and Ipod setup. Would you mind sending me a price breakdown in a PM or posting one here so that I have something to work with?

Thanks so much.

your cab is nice, def. but im going on a limb here (like i always do) and say i dont like the amp install at all. it makes the whole set up look cluttered, not clean at all. i mean, the wires are all hidden and THATS what i like also. but the way its set up doesnt look good at all. i even have the same amp. now, i still have to change out my door, dash and rear fill speakers but will hide the crossovers under the trunk carpet or anywhere that lets me hide them.

now your gonna ask how my set up looks. ill post pics as soon as i get my car back . HIN is this weekend so ill have pics for you asap.

again, just my .02, and no disrespect at all, just not feeling the amp set up. the rear subs are nice though but that wouldnt work for me also, as i have short friends and stick them back there anyways!!

lazerblade-
here is my little $ breakdown.. values are from crutchfields site
(thx robgar for part info)
i'd hope a shop charging for install would also give a break on either the head unit or throw in something significant.

I am thinking of skipping the satradio... once I have my ipod i will be set for life... but in reality, once i am bored dickin with the setup, then i can add satradio to waste another afternoon.
i hope the traffic receiver works as well as 21st century crap should.

Hey JayFunk .. no disrespect taken at all. With cabs you have so many limited options on placement. I would have loved the amp hidden under a false floor but I was concerned about heat. It's a lot bigger than the factory amp, but does fit nicely in that spot. It only turns up the trunk molding just a hair, but it fits. The Crossovers .. I guess they could have hidden them .. I didn't specify a preference to the installer on that.

Now on the subs .. I'm not sure how much cleaner you'd expect for a cab .

Thanks for the feedback!
