1) keep the factory 18" wheels and do the pss9 bilstien coilovers with spacers,
2) get 19" wheels like OZ and don't touch suspension (this will reduce the gap and bring the wheels out a bit)

Yep.......you have the order right....1 then 2
Seriously......do 1.) and then when you have the $$ and have really thought through the wheels, do them (with the desired offset and stop using the spacers)........and hey, not necessarily 19s.....think that through too.
I know people who have suspension and spacer parts waiting for their new cars when they take delivery.......then take another 6-12 to decide on wheels............wheels are a huge step.
Good luck to ya.

defintiely have get the suspension then the wheels. various camber settings and ride height will change the offset. i mean the reason you buy custom wheels is so you don't have to run spacers.

See how nice the OEM's look w/ the 5mm they push the wheels out just right. 19's for the street are useless...unless the car comes stock with them then you have no choice but all true enthusisats that want the oem look at least will stay oem size maybe just goto an 11" on the rear like using the OEM GT3 wheel....<b>JuST MY 2 CENTS!!<b>

19s are pure bling. I would not give up performance for the style of 19's.
The only way you can close the gap with stock suspension if you go with overall larger diameter wheel/tire package. This will hurt gearing, and it is noticable.
If you maintain the same rolling circumference/diameter, you will do nothing for the gap.
