Question 996 MKI Front Bumpers - What are our choices?

Help me out guys... i am feeling googletarded.
I can barely find anything for MKI bumper replacement.
I have the misha wing on the back of my 01C4 and need something up front to balance it out.

I've only found a couple...
a turbo look and a gt2 look. (they are on suncoast's site)
the gt2 gives me a chub (i dig that up by the trunk lid.. is that called diffuser?.. functional?)....

Has anyone gone with either of these?
How is the quality/fit? (I am a real hard *** when it comes to fit... my misha wing is not absolutely perfect and it really bugs me sometimes)
And, can I expect some real performance gain or are these all looks?

What else is out there?

If you are big on fit and finish then OEM MKI Aero kit front bumper is the only way to go. Other than that I would recommend RUF front bumper. The turbo and GT2 are both replica and from what I have seen, they don't fit right and at a certain angle, they are wavy.

I wanted a turbo bumper bad so I did the MKII facelift.

To do the conversion, do you just use the headlights and bumper, or do you also need the hood and fenders?

You will need bumper, headlight, fenders, headlight trays, headlight wireharness, and some misc small items.

How could I forget RUF?!... just looked and I only found a couple pics of theirs, but I think I like it. I have a feeling their fit/finish will be the closest to factory quality.... anyone have proof?

Obviously I like the MKII look but for me I would rather spend a little more & get a C4S, just my 2 cents... not that it was easy to decide.

well, this project should be in next month's budget... thanks for the pointers (and the PMs).

any more ideas from anyone please speak up. thx

There was a bumper I liked on the MKI, it was a 997 GT3 bumper but made for the 996 headlights...check towards the bottom of this page:

Great looking Bumper! Simple, clean and understated. Is it the Urethane version or the Fiberglass version? Also, what was the approximate cost for the paint and installation?

Thanks,

M
