Angry eurowheelusa - stay away!

OK - Firstly I'm not one who normally complains... with that said I have to report on this bad experience so that someone else can avoid the same company and mistake.

The history - purchased some wheels a company on ebay: http://myworld.ebay.com/eurowheelsus...MEFSX:SELLERID
Everything seemed cool - great price and general response time was good. Purchased the wheels and shipping was fast. So far so good...

Sent the wheels off to be painted and then noticed on the wheel having got them back that they are in fact Made n China. Great! I know, I know - I should have looked more closely when I received them. Hindsight is 20/20...

Problem 1 - Wheels were not as advertised and were made in China and not in Italy as stated. Here's the add they're running now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-PO...spagenameZWDVW
It STILL States they are made in ITALY... but are in fact are made in China. Emailed them about this and got no response! Waited... waited... zip!

Problem 2 - OK - maybe it wasn't such a big deal that they were made in China. SO I decided to mount them. Turns out the radius of the cup receptacle inside the wheel for the lug nut is a different radius than the standard Porshce one!! F'in Great! Once again I emailed them... no response. Emailed them - got no response again - shocker! I have a local Engineering shop who helped me out with this and re-machined the radius of the conical washer for the new wheel. OK, now I'm happy.

Problem 3 - After mounting them - I notice a vibration throughout the car.. it's actually very minor and some of it may be due to the 25 profile tires on the rear. Howeever, it's enough to slowly **** you off...

I now have an appoitment with a Hunter 9700, spoke to the owner of the Tire Center who's actually at this moment very confident he can fix either the bad balance job, poor wheel or whatever is causing this vibration.

So my advice... never use EUROWHEELSUSA on ebay, they're scamming customers and once they have your money prepare to be completely ignored. Here's the link to the ebay store:http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/eurowheelsusa/

STAY THE HELL AWAY!!!!!!

Ebay wheels? You get what you paid for bro. Learn your lesson. Haha

Anyhow, as for the ebay listing....pay no attention to anything else other than whats in the description only. Where it says MADE IN ITALY is only where hes supposed to put item location, doesn't mean the wheels are made in Italy LoLz. Having said that, yeah hes a tricky son of a b!tch, oh and look at his last statement...a disclaimer haha. He still has a lot of happy customers who bought his wheels, damn.

Anyways, wish you luck getting those wheels balanced. I know how irritating wheel vibration is.

Sorry to hear bro....tough lesson learned.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with VP C4, seller is very tricky where and what he states, bastard!!!

Here's some advise: when you get new parts, whether it's wheels, aerokits, whatever, fit check them first to ensure proper fitment before making any mods or painting. That's what I always do initially when I purchase aftermarket parts.

Good luck with the vibration issue!!!

Almost all wheels are made in China, even freaking BBS... its the pricetag that is the questions of quality.

mrgroove,

To eliminate the vibration all you have to do is buying a set of hub-centric rings. Plastic or aluminum. That should take care of the problem.

Sorry, to hear you have a bad apple.

Most major brand of wheels have their products made in China. The 3-piece forged shipped back to U.S in three pieces. Here companies hire local workers to put them together and finishing touch.

Lesson learned - believe me.

Any idea on where I can get my hands on these hub centric rings??

Actually I just took the wheel off and moved the wheel around on the hub and they seemed to have a fairly good tolerance... maybe less than .5mm??

Just go to any wheels specialist shop and buy the set. I think it costs around $15-$25.

By the way, you are living in Inland Empire we have a big open house FastForwardWheels tomorrow at 7pm to 11am. There are close to 60 Porsche cars confirmed not to mention other exotics for the event. 11 cars from Riverside, Fontana, Rancho Cucamoga will drive in. I'm inviting you to our Pcars event. Cars, models, raffle prizes, food & drink. At the event you can talk to our wheel expert for advises and it's FREE! See you there!

PM me for address.

if there is slack on the hub, you will feel the vibration (more or less). Especially these wheels are Made in China...go get some hub rings and go from there.

I bought some wheels from a guy for my bimmer, and they vibrate like hell (China wheels I am sure). Later I learned about the hub ring so I have some plastic delrin machined. They fill up the slacks and vibration gone!

I believe Fikse's are one of the few that are actually made in the US.

Who buys $800 wheels for a Porsche ... I'm sorry about your bad experience, but you truly get what you pay for and hopefully you learned your lesson. I wouldn't even drive on these unknown-brand wheel, you have no way of knowing if they will fall apart at 100mph on the highway and kill you.

That's a bummer about eurowheelusa. They are neither euro or american. Lesson to all 6speeders: stick with BBS, Work, TechArt, Fikse, HRE, etc. Yes, it's freakin' expensive but your pcar ain't cheap. For the money, you're better off getting a custom paint job on your OEM wheels, than getting an off brand wheel, or that **** from Discount Tire.

I hate to beat the dead horse...but again. EBAY special crap wheels on your PCAR? Come on....you are killing me!

No one deserves to get hosed...so I am not going to say that but I will say all your "headache" and trouble.....to get the wheels right....is part of the money you "saved'

I would think you should of at least went with a nicer class B replica rim from a known name. At the very least it would of been better than those. Axis, Victor, etc...those wheels would of been only slightly more expensive but better than the ones you bought.
