Thoughts on these wheels???
Any thoughts on these wheels?????
Debating on getting a set (MAYBE), but can't figure out which ones.
The Red 997's 094's unfortunately max out at 10.5 rears - not enough for WB's, and are 20" sizes only
The Silver 997 Cab's 077's go at least 11" wide in the rears, however MINIMAL LIP, and come in 19's and 20's.
??????????

Deep dish wheels are nice when it is clean. The deep lip gives more surface area for the road tar and break dust to stick on. Unless you plan on cleaning your wheels every time you drive, I say stay away from deep dish wheels. We all know what break dust do to wheels if you don't it clean off.
Good point on cleaning brake dust and the deep dishes. The 077's do look like legos I guess, but they are different I guess.......

If these are your only two options, I would chose the first set. The second set is too angular for a car with no right angles. However, I think most deep dish rims are goofy looking on these cars. The wide fenders of the 911 show off a semi-flush wheel very well. Good choices though, they are both good looking.
As someone mentioned above, the mesh wheel is very common on this forum, but once you leave the internet and hit the road, they will be very unique.

NOLA, the only drawback to the 094's (mesh) is that they're only 10.5 rears and I have a WB car. I know spacers can take care of this issue but I am worried the wheels won't fill out the wheel wells.
I wish I could get more shots of the angular 077's to really help me with the decision, but you bring up a great point about the heavy angulation of the wheels on a smooth lined car.
They're cast, not forged (even though forged would be best - I just can't convince myself to splurge that much $$$$ on those wheels yet if ever
)

boochook you seem to jump around a lot.. one day you wanted to buy my AVUS wheels.. then I see you saying you were going to buy someone elses AVUS 20" wheels... you need to have a set look in your head and go for it... your choices are not even similiar... my head would be spinning if I was you..lol goodluck on your choice.. I still think my 19" AVUS wheels look great on your color car...
^^ boca, I can't agree more. My head has been spinning 200mph as it pertains to the new shoes. LOL......
Professionally/Personally I operate with a beam of certainty, but when it comes to this, sometimes I confuse myself.
Your wheels look fantastic BTW - I'm sure I'll revisit your FS post if someone doesn't pick them up already (great deal you have on those wheels BTW).
