Hi all, just bought a '99 911 and i'm just happy as hell with it. I'm new to the Porsche community so take it easy on a bro.
I'll be reading as much as possible here to get as educated as I can about these amazing cars.
But for starters, what are some good first mods, this one is a stock Carrera.
Thanks! Glad to be here!

Welcome from another relative newbie! She's a beauty. My second mod is shedding the standard 17" wheels and the stock seats for a set of turbo hollow spoke 18" and sport seats (all due to arrive later this week). Since my car was pretty well "modded" from the factory I needed to fix the seat problem (uncomfortable). Also those little 17"ers, though attractive (!), were lost in the wheel wells.

Recommended first mod? Sign up with the PCA. It was my first mod too.

Welcome and Congrats!

Nice looking ride.

There are LOTS of things you can do to your Porsche. The best advice I can give you is be patient. Do not make mods thinking you will get anything out of them but YOUR enjoyment. In other words, most MODS are money well spent on your pleasure, not an investment that will generate return when you sell. Be careful, like most things that bring you pleasure, MODS can be addicting.

Search these forums and others for info regarding your model/year and read the signature taglines of others in these forums to learn what they have done.

Don't post a question here until you have at least made an effort to search the answer here, google etc..

In addition to a great car, your purchase has bought you entrance to a great community of people.

Welcome

Hi Dev911,

Congrat. on your addition. Nice color too.

If you join some local Pcar meet and run, you will meet some nice people and see some nice cars with mods. Usually, meetings are setup here, so keep checking the board.

Thanks guys, I'm just elated to drive this car. I sold off my sportbikes after a friend just passed from one and want to replace that hobby with something else, this might be the only cure. I'll keep lurking and thanks again!

Clear Headlights - Halogen
Clear Headlights - Litronic (Xenon)
Clear Taillights
Clear Side Markers
18" wheels

And you can also find the Clear headlight, taillight, and sidemarkers from Foreign Affairs and most of our other board sponsors.

For the 18 inch wheels do you want factory or aftermarket?
