Hey Sixers-Intro

Guys,

I bought my 99 996 C2 Cab about 9 months ago and have been modding based on your input. So this Arctic Silver beauty has:

Lightweight flywheel and clutch kit
PSS9 suspension
Fabspeed headers, 200 CEL cats, mufflers and tips
Fabspeed cold-air kit
IPD Plenum
Odyssey lightweight battery w/rennline mount
Fikse 19" wheels/8's and 11s
Toyo Proxe R888s
K40 Detector
Some other stuff I probably forgot

I've got a little bodywork to do, but likely will not do anything radical--sort of a "sleeper" look.

Thanks for your help and enjoy!

Greg

Welcome to the 6 man!!!

Nice ride and a nice mod list to start. How do you like the plenum?

Keep working on making that list longer. I lurked around a long time before I joined to you can learn a lot from some of the guys on here. They know their stuff and I have learned a ton from them.

Thanks! I think the Plenum, lightweight flywheel and cats were the best engine mods. PSS9 or other suspension is a must. Don't think I'll ever get to your level--nice ride!

Welcome to the 6. Nice ride you have there, be careful with the modding, it becomes addictive.

the Sachs kit. The guy at S-Car-Go put it in. I was concerned about gear rattle--and there's a little--but the benefits are very noticable.

refreshing to see a car that has the sleeper look.... hell, put a SC in... the ultimate sleeper!

I would put a mk1 gt3 chin spoiler, they do so much to the look of the car. Love where your going with it though.

I'm weighing the options of getting what I have fixed or getting the GT3 bumper and skirts. The look is cool. But my main motivation would be aerodynamics. Things get a little squirrely with this setup in the 90MPH+ range.

Any advice?

try putting this lip on the stock front bumper.... its like $80, post #49. This will help plant it down a bit more.... if you have other priority stuff to do. Also, if you do get the mk1 gt3 bumper you can still re-use the lip.

Also. maybe you should stiffen up your pss9.
