Where to buy side skirts
Where to buy side skirts
Hey all,
I want to get some side skirts for my 02 NB and from the few that I've seen, I think I want to go with the oem option. I was just wondering if there are any places that make oem replica skirts that fit well or is my best bet to just order from sunset or suncoast? Also, any other suggestions/pictures are appreciated. Thanks!

Look for good to mint condition used parts and repaint them. They are MUCH cheaper than the new ones if you can find them.
I have these Techart sides:

They are very simple and understated and don't have an edge to step on

I just added a pair this last week.. MKII (GT3 -cup II.. I think)
000-044-802-15 sold as a pair and a kit 671.66 plus about 45.00 shipping -but they are a week away from Sunset - plus shipping time to you. Here's their info.
Sunset Porsche, Beaverton, OR phone 1-800-346-0182
I actually purchased mine from Sonnen, a dealer in the SF Bay area because I needed to have them sooner (in order to coordinate with some paint work that had already been scheduled)
Here's a head's up for you.. MY02 (and later) NB996 use a different OEM skirt than previous years. Also, when your skirts arrive, you'll see that they are a fairly simple install .. some clips, screws and two-side tape (already on the skirt) BUT, my research informed me that there are adhesive options.. some use a two-part epoxy.. my guys used a polysomething ( used to secure windshields) again, if you search around in the forums you find ample discussion. I haven't posted enough to add a picture but in your search you'll discover the various designs differences and application methods... The topic has been addressed a lot.

I am not sure if they make the same skirt for WB cars; I don't think so. Vivid has a large selection of Techart parts and could give you some guidance. They make this version for WB 997s. They are Awesome!!

the widebody techart sideskirts are better looking than the narrowbody ones you see here. you saw them on my c4s.
the really cool thing is, you just made yourself look dumb cuz the c4s/turbo kits fit the same. WAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA
