Need new Steering Wheel for a 1999

Ok, which direction do I go in?

My 1999 996 Coupe has that stcok boring skinny lousy feeling wheel.

What are my options? I would not even mind going towards a full race wheel and dump the air bag.

Anyone happy out there with an aftermarket wheel that has a better feel than one of these old stockers?

Thanks in advance
Mark

Also have a 99, and I'm going to the 3 spoke with airbag. Like the look and feel of the 3 spoke.

we just ordered a race wheel from speedware motorsports for our 996. i honestly didn't think about the airbag thing. our car is a dd. can they install an airbag in race wheels?? dumb question, i know. i'm wondering if that is something extra we can have them to do the wheel.

good luck with your purchase!

I'm looking for a new wheel also. Something smaller than the OEM three spoke, like the cup wheel but with an airbag, any ideas anyone?

Here are pictures of my Momo steering wheel (same as on the cup car). It is one of my favorite mods that I have done to my car. I think the cost for the steering wheel and adapter was under $200.

But you lose the airbag option

Ditto on no airbag, not without a full harness!

Best I've seen so far but still same dimensions...

Nice find, but those are a bit to small grip, I rather have a bit thicker.
