The original litronics would be my recommendation over anything after-market.

I have some experience with that, you can just get a universal H7 HID kit and it will work fine. The original litronics is the best but not that significant of a difference than going with your existing projectors and adding a H7 HID kit. If you want the most output, get 4300k color.

The aftermarket kits do not work well in the Projector beam PCar headlights for some reason. I tried and wasted a lot of time and money. Repositioned the bulb to several locations within the headlight holder which did not work well (no better than the halogen OEM bulb). Ended up just with OEM Litronics and jumpering the body connector as per the Renntech DIY. I bought and had to return my Vertex kit - it does not work for the projector beam halogen units ('03) since the blub holder is integrated into the blub socket.

Xenon may help the pre projector beam units but you will end up blinding the on coming traffic.

The product that I provided w/ the link does work and does not blind oncoming traffic. I have a 99-01 and they work perfectly! In your particular case, I cannot comment, but in mine, OEM perfect!

I went to Vertex Auto's web site (link below) and they state that their HID kit is 6,000 Kelvin. I thought factory HID lights were around 4,300. Does their color match closely what you'd get from the factory, or is it more blue?

We have the factory Litronic retrofit kit here:

Litronic Headlight Kit - $2295

Better than any aftermarket option that you'll find!

I have Litronic lights. How much is the small parking bulb that goes under the main bulb? Downtown LA Porsche quoted me $18 and that seems AWFUL HIGH considering its the size of a penlight Its just a 12V 6W bulb.

Yeah, we'd be half of their price, but by the time you factor in shipping, you're only a couple bucks off of your local dealership. See if there's anything else you might have been looking at so you could combine shipping!

Only go for the 4300K lamps (Vertex has them). The boy race look detracts dramatically from the overall to see (and drive quickly) at night.
