Has anyone come up with any good HP enhancing engine mods on a X51 option 996 ?

Good luck, other than a SC there doesn't appear to be any engine upgrades at all for a NA car. All other HP enhancements seem to be smoke and mirrors. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

 

Heya Eddie... we had this conversation yesterday, I thought you were gonna leave it alone You would mod a flipping Toyota Prius if you could wouldn't you!

 

You can get a lil' out of an exhuast, headers and chip... A good deal out of cams thought.

 

Im trying to leave it alone , I swear I am ....
I think the x51 has a more aggresive cam and the head work... Not sure about the ECU, what changes there are vs. the stock 3.6
I dont want a SC, I would rather just sell it and get a TT by the time I am done it would be cheaper.... the problems we create for ourselves in life...


I just can't stand it anymore , after having the turbo.... it kills me to have to downshift to get any power, it's crazy man..... I miss my TT

You could do cams or something. A chip might get you 18HP....

Todd and the installer figure close to 495.

320 stock plus 25 for the X51 plus 150 for the SC

I have not had the car on a dyno...
