Wheel Repairable? - Photos - UPDATE Oct. 4th Repaired

So I got a little crazy around a curve yesterday afternoon and hopped the car completely over a curb. I have Champion Motorsport RG5 wheels. The front suffered a pretty bad bend. Champion is on the fence whether it can be repaired. What do you guys think? Any recommendations as to a 3rd party repair shop? Links to photos are below. Thx!

A shop should be able to repair that.

Wanna sell that set of wheels to me?

I can see why they are on the fence about the repair. It looks like the bend is into the channel. If it is still holding air now, that is a good sign. The wheel should be dismounted and inspected.
Don't forget to get an alignment.

not as bad as i was expecting it to be
bring it to a good wheel repair shop in your area and they should be able to fix that back to new

Somehow, the tire is still holding air. A guy from Alloy Wheel Repair looked at it in person and says no problem to fix it. He's bringing his mobile unit to the parking lot where I work tomorrow. Can't beat that service! And all for $130 (minus the re-balancing, which he suggested I take to another shop). Will take some photos to let you know how it turned out.

i'd be more concerned about how your suspension pieces are doing than the wheels as it'll prob be more expensive to replace dog

Yes, Ben, I thought of that. My brother-in-law is a Lexus Technician. He's going to put it up on a lift and check things out w/ me. On a slow Saturday, he said he could do an alignment too. He says their alignment machine is all laser. How do I obtain the alignment specs for the 996 C2 Cabriolet?

Thumbs up

Sean from Alloy Wheel Repair did an awesome job repairing the wheel (front passenger). Links to photos are below. Suspension on this side looked okay at first glance. Will try to talk my b-in-law into an alignment now. (Thanks IA*Doc for the info.) Oh, I will mention that these Champion Motorsport RG5 wheels are polished with a clear coat. Did you know they only weigh 19 lbs. a piece?! You'll notice in the photos that the repair work removed the clear coat -- which was pretty much inevitable. Sean says they send wheels to Dallas (some kind of partnership) for resurfacing and clear coating. Need to get that done sometime soon.

i just got my wheels repaired and spent $175 per wheel inluding repaint, balance, and mounting. i feel it was very expensive but man did they do a great job!
so your $135 is a great deal imho.

Can't see them photos for some reason.

Wonder why they need to send them out to clear? That's more money right?

Hummm...
